Competitive challenge

MDRVMF club offers a chance to compete against other skilled sailors, which can be a fun and rewarding challenge

Skill development

Sailboat racing requires a high level of sailing skill, and joining a racing club can help you improve your sailing abilities through practice and training.

Camaraderie

We offer a close-knit community of sailors who share a passion for competitive sailing, and can be a great way to make new friends and connections.

Ways To Get Involved

VOLUNTEER

As a sailboat racing club we require a lot of support to function effectively. We often need volunteers to help with  running races.  Race committee is a great place to start or run for one of the positions on the board of directors. You can reach out to us and offer your services as a volunteer, and we appreciate any support and will help you find a role that suits your skills and interests.

NEW CREW

Our club is constantly on lookout for new crew members who want to get involved  in yacht racing . This can include anything from trimming, grinding, driving and pit crew.  You can reach out to the club and express your interest in joining as a crew member, and we’ll connect you with a team that needs a crew member.

Keep up to date with our racing results

We post our results for our tuesday races weekly.

I can’t change the direction of the wind, but I can adjust my sails to always reach my destination.

– Jimmy Dean

I really don’t know why it is that all of us are so committed to the sea, except I think it’s because in addition to the fact that the sea changes, and the light changes, and ships change, it’s because we all came from the sea. And it is an interesting biological fact that all of us have, in our veins, the exact same percentage of salt in our blood that exists in the ocean, and, therefore, we have salt in our blood, in our sweat, in our tears. We are tied to the ocean. And when we go back to the sea – whether it is to sail or to watch it – we are going back from whence we came.
