START & FINISH LINE:

This will be an imaginary line from the first White Speed Channel buoy to the first Piling at the four -hour transient guest dock.    This is a straight line from the White Speed Channel Buoy and the Piling.  Start with the White Speed Channel Buoy on your Starboard side.  Finish with the White Speed Channel Buoy to your Port Side.

COURSE:

From the start, proceed to the entrance channel towards the detached breakwater.  The line described by the NO SAIL buoys shall be considered as a continuing obstruction and may not be crossed.  All Classes will go out the North entrance, keeping clear of the green/red shoal buoys passing them to starboard then rounding the detached break wall and heading towards the south entrance of the harbor. (NOTE) The detached break wall is the weather mark please; do not hit this mark for it will not end well!  All Classes will enter the South entrance keeping away from the shoal buoys.  Proceed down the channel staying inside of the line described by the NO SAIL buoys.  As a reminder you cannot “fly” a spinnaker sail inside of the channel. Proceed to the start and finish line.  Proximally 30 seconds before your finish, you must announce your approach with a sail number and name of vessel to the R/C on VHS “71.”  R/C will be on station to take your time and will signal your finish with a sound.

If R/C decides to shorten the course they will make an announcement for the following weather mark:

COURSE 1:  At the starting line proceed down the channel towards the detached break wall staying within the NO SAIL buoys rounding the last NO SAIL buoy on the south side of the channel to port and return to the finish line at Burton Chase Park.
